OPPO Pad 5 Pro may enter India after BIS certification, bringing a 13.2 inch 3.4K 144Hz display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 13,380mAh battery, 67W charging and eight speakers.
The OPPO Pad 5 Pro India launch has moved closer after the tablet was reportedly spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database with model number OPD2516. This is significant because the tablet debuted in China in April 2026 and could now become OPPO’s flagship tablet offering in India. It combines a 3.4K 144Hz display with Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, a huge battery and an eight-speaker setup.
The OPPO Pad 5 Pro could launch in India soon, as the tablet has reportedly appeared on the BIS certification database under model number OPD2516. However, OPPO has not confirmed an Indian launch date yet.
The tablet debuted in China in April 2026 at CNY 4,299 (around ₹59,000) for the 8GB+256GB variant. Based on its Chinese pricing and premium positioning, the India price could be around ₹60,000 to ₹70,000, although the final price will depend on OPPO's launch strategy and taxes.
The reported BIS listing is the strongest indication yet that OPPO could bring the Pad 5 Pro to India. No official Indian launch date or price has been announced, so these details should not be treated as confirmed. In China, the tablet started at CNY 4,299, roughly ₹59,000 before taxes and other market costs.
There was earlier confusion around the tablet because the OnePlus Pad 4 launched in India with remarkably similar hardware. Its 13.2 inch display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and 13,380mAh battery strongly connect the two products.
The Pad 5 Pro features a 13.2-inch LCD panel with a 3,392 x 2,400-pixel resolution, 7:5 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, 540Hz touch sampling and up to 1,000 nits brightness. Dolby Vision and 98% DCI-P3 coverage further strengthen its multimedia credentials.
Underneath, the tablet gets the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with an Adreno 840 GPU. It can be configured with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, putting it firmly in flagship territory for gaming, multitasking and demanding applications.
The biggest unanswered questions are India pricing, launch date, configurations and whether OPPO will retain the Chinese specifications. If launched close to its Chinese positioning, the Pad 5 Pro could target buyers seeking laptop like productivity, gaming and large screen entertainment without moving to an ultra-premium tablet price bracket.
