There is no official price for the tablet yet, and iQOO has not confirmed whether it will launch outside China. Current reports point to a late September or early October 2026 China launch, potentially alongside the iQOO 16 and iQOO Neo 12. The timing would also follow Qualcomm’s expected September unveiling of its next-generation Snapdragon flagship platform.

The newest leak claims the engineering prototype is being tested with the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, rather than the standard Gen 6 chip mentioned in earlier reports. Leaked details around the processor point to an Adreno 850 GPU and LPDDR6 memory support, although Qualcomm has not officially announced the chip yet.

This also explains why the tablet is being positioned as a gaming device. A compact body with flagship-level silicon could deliver high performance without the large footprint of conventional 12- or 13-inch tablets.

The most interesting new detail is the large internal cooling fan reportedly fitted to the engineering prototype. Unlike tablets relying mainly on passive cooling, active airflow could help the processor maintain higher performance for longer during demanding games.

Earlier leaks point to a compact OLED display with slim bezels and a high refresh rate, while the SRRC listing suggests a Wi-Fi-only model with no cellular connectivity. The exact screen size, battery, charging speed, RAM, storage and cameras remain unknown.

The key takeaway is that iQOO appears to be building a small gaming machine rather than a smaller version of its regular tablet. If the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and active cooling both make it to the final product, this could become one of the most performance-focused compact Android tablets of 2026.
