Xiaomi 18 Fold India Launch: Indian buyers waiting for Xiaomi’s latest foldable may have to wait longer. The company has launched the Xiaomi 18 Fold in China with a 7.58-inch inner display, 200MP Leica camera and its new XRING O3 processor. The foldable also packs a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports three-app multitasking on its wider inner screen. While Xiaomi has showcased the phone internationally at IFA 2026, there is still no confirmed India launch date or local pricing.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold went on sale in China on September 10, starting at CNY 10,999 and reaching CNY 14,999 for the highest regular variant. However, Xiaomi has not announced an India launch date or price for the foldable.
For Indian buyers, its IFA 2026 appearance should not be taken as confirmation of an India release. The 18 Fold remains a China-market phone for now, making local availability the biggest unanswered question.
The 18 Fold features a 7.58-inch LTPO OLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,364×1,672 resolution and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness. The 5.38-inch outer screen also supports 120Hz and up to 4,000 nits of brightness.
Its wider 1.4:1 layout is more important than the size alone. Xiaomi has designed the screen to support three apps at once, which could be useful in India for switching between WhatsApp, maps, payments, documents and other apps without constantly opening and closing windows.
The phone gets a 200MP Leica main camera with OIS, joined by a 50MP telephoto camera and 50MP ultrawide sensor. The telephoto camera offers 3.5x optical zoom, while the phone supports up to 8K video recording. Both the inner and outer screens have 16MP selfie cameras.
The other major highlight is Xiaomi’s 3nm XRING O3 chipset. It uses a 10-core CPU and Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU, with AI-based graphics features such as neural super sampling and frame generation. The phone can be configured with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold packs a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, along with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. It weighs around 219 grams and measures about 5.02mm at its thinnest when unfolded.
The phone runs HyperOS 4 and supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, UWB and USB 3.2 Gen 2. For Indian users, the large battery could be particularly useful for long workdays, travel and heavy mobile usage.
For now, though, the Xiaomi 18 Fold cannot be treated as an upcoming India launch. The brand needs to officially confirm local availability before Indian buyers can consider it a direct alternative to Samsung and other premium foldables.
