The Redmi Note 17 Pro series is coming to India on September 15, this upcoming smart phone with the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G becoming the biggest attraction. Xiaomi has confirmed the 10,000mAh battery, while the global model also brings 100W HyperCharge, a 6.83 inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and IP69K-rated protection. The series will also include the Note 17 Pro 5G, giving buyers another option focused on high battery life without going all the way to the Pro Max.
Redmi has confirmed that the Note 17 Pro series will launch in India on September 15. The lineup is expected to include the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. Xiaomi has separately confirmed a September 15 global launch for the series.
The Redmi Note Pro Max packs a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 16% silicon content, which Xiaomi says can deliver up to three days of use. More interestingly, the phone supports 100W HyperCharge and up to 27W wired reverse charging. That means the phone can also act as a high-capacity emergency power source for compatible devices. Xiaomi lists up to 40 hours of video playback, 24 hours of navigation and 21 hours of gaming in its internal testing.
TheXiaomi Redmi Note Pro Max gets a 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The global model also offers a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP selfie camera, with rear video recording going up to 4K at 30fps. This makes the Pro Max more than just a battery-focused phone.
The Pro Max uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage on supported variants. It also carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection, while Gorilla Glass Victus 2 offers certified drop protection. Xiaomi claims a six-year like-new software experience, adding another long-term angle to the phone.
The Note 17 Pro Max 5G is therefore not simply about having the biggest battery. Its real pitch is endurance plus fast charging, reverse charging, durability and a large high-refresh-rate AMOLED screen in one device. India-specific specifications and pricing will be confirmed at the September 15 launch.
