Google Fitbit Air will launch in India in October 2026 with a screen free design, up to seven-day battery, health sensors, AI coaching and an expected ₹15,000 price.
Google is bringing its Fitbit Air fitness tracker to India in October 2026, expanding its screen free wearable lineup to the country. The device focuses on continuous health tracking rather than notifications or apps on the wrist. It weighs just 5.2 grams, offers up to seven days of battery life and works with Android and iOS. Google has not yet announced the exact India launch date or price, although the expected price is around ₹15,000.
Despite its small size, the Fitbit Air carries several sensors for continuous monitoring. These include an optical heart-rate sensor, SpO2 sensors, a skin-temperature sensor and a three-axis accelerometer.
The tracker can monitor heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen, skin-temperature changes, activity and workouts. It uses connected GPS through a smartphone rather than having built-in GPS. The device supports both Android and iOS, while Bluetooth 5.0 handles connectivity.
Google is also making AI a major part of the Fitbit Air experience. Its Google Health Coach uses Gemini to turn health and fitness information into personalized guidance instead of simply presenting raw numbers.
A particularly important update is coming before the India launch. Google has announced Blood Pressure Trend and Insulin Resistance Trend reports for Fitbit Air from September 2026. These are designed to identify longer-term trends and are not replacements for medical diagnosis or direct clinical measurements.
Battery life is another highlight. Google rates the Fitbit Air for up to seven days, while five minutes of charging can provide up to a day of battery life. A full charge takes about 90 minutes.
For India, the Fitbit Air's combination of a distraction-free design, long battery life and AI-based health insights could make it an interesting alternative to conventional fitness bands and smartwatches.
