ASUS Returns to Indian Tablet Market with Premium Pad T3201 Featuring 12.2-Inch OLED & Dimensity 8300 Processor

ASUS is officially returning to the Indian market after years and has launched its premium tab named ‘ASUS Pad T3201’. This device bridges the gap between productivity and high-end media consumption while using a dual-layer OLED display and MediaTek's Dimensity 8300 processor.

ASUS has officially announced the re-entry of the premium ASUS Pad T3201 in this highly competitive Indian tablet ecosystem. The device marks a major point for the brand as it expands its Indian consumer hardware portfolio beyond traditional PC and gaming laptops.

Display Engineering

The debut of the new ASUS Pad T3201 is its display technology as here the model has shifted from single-layer LCD or standard OLED devices. ASUS has used a 12.2-inch and 2.8K Dual-Layer OLED panel which features 3:2 aspect ratio.

The dual layer configuration increases the energy efficiency while maintaining high brightness for clear visibility. The screen is made to deliver the following:

  • A high velocity 144Hz refresh rate for ultra smooth gaming.
  • A remarkable 2,000 nits HDR peak brightness offers clear visibility under direct ambient light.
  • Full 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage and Dolby Vision is made to offer the accurate color grading for creative professionals.
  • A 92% screen to body ratio framed inside a rigid magnesium alloy metal frame with a lightweight fiberglass back cover.

Tablet Performance

This tablet is powered by MediaTek's 4nm Dimensity 8300 (MT8792Z) chipset that has a power efficient 4 nm node and octa- core CPU. It is paired with 8GB of high speed LPDDR5X RAM and has UFS 3.1 internal storage capacities extended up to 256GB. 

This hardware also supports MicroSD expansion up to 1TB for high density media storage. The processor runs on Android 16 which makes sure it is compatible with modern split screen productivity tools and advanced cross platform connectivity.

Extended Battery and Cinematic Audio Quality

Even made with the ultra-thin 6.5mm profile and weight of just 523 grams, ASUS has managed to fit the massive 9,000mAh lithium-polymer battery inside the tab. It supports 45W fast charging through its USB 3.0 Type-C interface for fewer charging cycle and also refils the battery from 0% to 50% capacity in around 30 minutes. 

Its audio quality features a premium quad speaker array along with Dolby Atmos 360-degree cinematic sound processing which delivers clear and enhanced dialogue clarity.

Ecosystem Integration

ASUS is placing the tablet with an expansion of its existing AI PC and mobile framework. The tablet is deeply integrated with ASUS GlideX software which allows the screen to act as a second display, interactive wireless controller or cross-platform file sharing space alongside Windows, macOS and iOS systems.

The tablet also features a 13MP autofocus camera on the rear side, especially for scanning and is complemented by a 5MP front-facing lens for video conferencing and instant biometric Face Unlock. The display supports the pressure-sensitive ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus and dedicated external Bluetooth keyboard for your easy workspace management.
