Halo: Campaign Evolved Is A Full Remake
Halo Studios has confirmed that Halo: Campaign Evolved is a full remake and not just a remaster. The game has been rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5. Players can expect better graphics, improved lighting, more detailed environments, and updated gameplay systems.
According to the studio, the goal is to keep the original Halo experience while making it feel fresh for today's players.
New Missions And Gameplay Features
The remake will include three new story missions along with the original campaign. Halo Studios has also confirmed improved mission design, new enemy encounters, Sprint, more collectible Skulls, additional weapons from later Halo games, and better vehicle controls.
The game will also feature updated cutscenes, remastered music and sound effects, and newly recorded dialogue to improve the overall experience.
Co-op Is Back, But No Multiplayer
Players will be able to enjoy the campaign with four-player online co-op. The game will also support cross-platform play, cross-progression, and two-player split-screen on consoles.
However, Halo Studios has confirmed that the remake will not include competitive multiplayer. The team says its focus is on delivering the best possible campaign and co-op experience.
Release Date, Platforms, And Other Details
Halo: Campaign Evolved will launch on July 28, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
Halo Studios has also confirmed a new Machinima Mode with tools like free camera and HUD controls for creators. Both digital and physical editions of the game will be available at launch.
