Motorola is preparing to bring another luxury Razr foldable to the spotlight, this time with Swarovski crystals and a darker black finish. The company has teased the device ahead of its expected IFA 2026 appearance in Berlin, showing a diamond patterned rear panel with crystal detailing around the cover display and hinge. Motorola has not yet revealed the phone’s official name, price or specifications. However, current evidence points towards a special edition Razr based on the existing Razr platform rather than a completely new foldable.
Motorola Razr Swarovski Price And Launch
Motorola has not announced the price or sales date of the upcoming Swarovski Razr. The company is expected to unveil it at IFA 2026 in Berlin in early September, with more information likely to follow at the event.
The biggest uncertainty is its official name. Reports have linked the handset to the Razr 70, while some markets could use the Razr 2026 branding. Motorola itself has not confirmed either name yet.
Black Crystal Design Marks A Different Razr
The teaser points to a noticeably different approach from Motorola’s previous Swarovski Razr. Instead of the bright PANTONE Ice Melt finish used on the existing Brilliant Collection Razr, the upcoming model appears in black with a textured, diamond-like pattern.
Crystal elements can be seen around the outer display and hinge, with leaked renders also suggesting additional detailing below the cover screen. This gives the phone a more understated luxury look rather than an all over glitter finish.
What Hardware Could The Swarovski Razr Get?
Current reports suggest the special edition could largely retain the hardware of the standard Razr 70. That could mean a 6.9 inch OLED inner screen, 3.63 inch cover display, MediaTek Dimensity 7450X processor and up to 512GB storage.
A 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup, 32 megapixel selfie camera and around 4,500mAh battery have also been linked to the expected configuration, but Motorola has yet to confirm these specifications specifically for the Swarovski model.
This makes the upcoming phone interesting for a different reason: the crystal treatment could be the main upgrade, not the internal hardware.
Motorola Could Be Expanding Its Luxury Phone Strategy
There is a clear pattern behind this launch. Motorola’s current Brilliant Collection already combines Razr devices with Swarovski crystals, including a 3D quilted finish and 35 hand-placed crystals on the existing Razr model.
The new teaser suggests Motorola is taking that idea in a more mature direction: black texture, controlled crystal placement and the hinge as a visual centrepiece. If that design carries into the final product, the Swarovski Razr could be positioned less as a flashy limited edition and more as a fashion focused premium accessory.
