Why A Budget-Friendly Standalone Soundbar Delivers A Massive Audio Upgrade Compared To Internal Television Speakers

The premium elongated structure of this Sony soundbar looks stylish and for my small TV screen it is an adept choice as it provides 120W audio power output. Sony's signature sound has always impressed me, as it balanced dialogue, bass and other sound frequencies in the right way. Sony HT-S100F is designed in the 2.0 channel and for my personal entertainment it makes up smartly, offering direct sound in close range. Since my smart TV does not offer high resolution sound, pairing this one has positively improved audio quality, and even the process of installation was smooth with the HDMI connection and wireless Bluetooth. 

Before settling with Sony HT-S100F, I had a brief stint with LG Soundbar SP2, and to be honest it is a decent choice under ₹10,000. Since it is engineered with a built in sub-woofer my TV sound felt bass rich and heavy, I particularly enjoyed this when I watched Dhurandhar, the revenge on Netflix. Like many of the LG soundbars this too has the AI Sound Pro feature which minimized my need for constant adjusting sound. Look-wise the soundbar comes with a Fabric wrapped design and weighs 2.3 Kilograms, this made it very easy for me to lend it to my friend before switching to the option described above. 100W audio power output ensures that sound is clean and distortion free even at peak volume. 

While I have listened to high end JBL soundbars this standalone, and budget friendly option seems an interesting one. 3.1 channel configuration and 200W audio power output makes me understand that it would be a good choice to pair with a medium sized TV screen. Even the sound control with a remote would ensure that the user gets convenience with volume leveling and trying their hands at other settings provided. Another impressive feature is the center channel speaker which makes it an ideal choice for movies, as in my opinion and also widely known that this center channel configuration provides directed sound, clear with dialogues. 

boAt is known to offer affordable soundbars and this one is no different, priced only under ₹5,000 makes me recommend it to those who for the first time are thinking of upgrading their bland and flat TV sound. The 140W audio power output of the soundbar is more than my current Sony HT-S100F soundbar, it may offer loud sound, but would lack the depth and balance that my Sony soundbar can offer. This is a beginner’s soundbar and by the looks of it one gets to see integrated sound controls. Connectivity like most of the boAt soundbars is versatile with Bluetooth, AUX, USB, HDMI (ARC) and coaxial input.

Zebronics and boAt stand head to head as per my opinion, and this one seems like a direct competition to Boat Aavante 2.2 1400. Although it is necessary for me to reiterate that both should be beginner’s choice of soundbars for TV. Zebronics soundbar offers 60W speaker maximum power output and connectivity options are numerous, mainly, HDMI, Optical, USB, Auxiliary input along with wireless Bluetooth option. For a small entertainment set up and small TV screen this also seems to be a compact and space efficient audio upgrade. Basis sound control with the remote provided makes use convenient and a remarkable experience for beginners.
