Apple has finally released its next round of software, and it is already rolling out the beta versions of iOS 27 and macOS 27 Golden Gate for public testing. Announced previously during WWDC, these new releases have come out of the closed developer testing system and are available to all interested users of Apple who wish to get a taste of a whole lot of new Apple Intelligence features.

Siri and Apple Intelligence Take the Spotlight

The most important new feature for future Apple phones and computers is a completely upgraded Siri, which will now use the smart AI technology to process all your required information safely on your own device or secure cloud servers.

Intelligent Browsing in Safari: Safari 27 introduces Safari Intelligence, adding deep AI-driven web features once the necessary system assets are downloaded in the background. HomeKit Intelligence: The Home app is getting a massive Apple Intelligence upgrade. When enabled, HomeKit Secure Video recordings are now processed on-device and through Private Cloud Compute to generate advanced video descriptions and allow for intelligent search.

Apple Silicon and Intel Macs (Note: macOS 28.0 will drop all Intel support)
  • Sign up on the Apple Beta portal
  • Select System Settings > General > Software Update
  • Click on the info button next to Beta Updates and choose macOS 27 Golden Gate Public Beta
