People are waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 for a confirmed date and it looks like the wait is almost over and Samsung has not made an official statement yet but a voucher that surfaced through the Samsung Members app in Malaysia gives away more than the company probably wanted.
It points to 22 July, which also matches what earlier reports had already guessed about a London launch event. The voucher mentions pre-order perks for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, and there's mention of the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 too.
Check out everything we know so far about the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 launch below.
What the Leaked Voucher Tells Us About the Date
The date did not come from Samsung directly and it came from a voucher spotted inside the Samsung Members app in Malaysia, and it was valid starting 22 July right through to early October.
That lines up almost exactly with what people had already been guessing since April, when the first rumours about a London event started doing the rounds.
So while Samsung still hasn't said anything themselves, all signs right now point to 22 July being the real date.
What Else Is Launching With the Galaxy Z Fold 8
This isn't going to be a one-phone event. Along with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Samsung is expected to bring out the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 on the same day.
There's also news of new smartwatches joining the lineup with the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 expected to show up too.
Samsung usually likes to launch its phones and watches together instead of spacing them out, so this pattern isn't really a surprise if you have followed past Unpacked events.
What's Changing in the Design and Software
From what Samsung has shown in early teasers, the new Fold looks like it's going shorter and wider than the last model, which changes how it feels when folded shut.
On the software side, it's expected to run One UI 9 on top of Android 17 which should make multitasking on that big inner screen feel smoother.
There's also a chance Samsung shows off its smart glasses at the same event, the ones made with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker that were briefly seen earlier this year.
