The latest Motorola Edge 70 Max is available in India today from 12 noon IST. This premium smartphone from Motorola comes with a 144Hz flat AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, along with a 7,100 mAh battery and 25W magnetic wireless charging technology.
Motorola has officially expanded its premium smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Motorola Edge 70 Max, and is making its debut today from 12:00 PM IST. It introduces the company's first-ever "Max" moniker. Apart from this, it also sits comfortably above the Edge 70 Pro+ as the most feature-packed and powerful device in the entire series.
Unlike previous models in the lineup that feature curved panels the Max breaks the mold by adopting a sleek and completely flat design.
With the Motorola Edge 70 Max, we have a major innovation in structure, as it features a premium aluminium frame, a robust glass back, and a totally flat 6.82-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO AMOLED display. The phone comes in two colours: light blue and green.
The smartphone has broken the previous standard, with the introduction of a remarkable 7,000 nits of maximum brightness on the display that makes it highly visible even when exposed to very bright sunlight. Along with this the mobile gamers will get the amazing 144Hz refresh rate along with the capability to play games up to 120fps in BGMI. However, the display is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and comes with IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance feature.
The Motorola Edge 70 max uses the new generation of Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 from Qualcomm for its processing power. With a maximum amount of 12GB LPDDR5X memory and AI abilities in the smartphone itself, the phone scores more than 3 million points on the benchmark test AnTuTu.
However, in order not to let the phone become overheated and laggy while playing video games, Motorola has incorporated its groundbreaking cooling technology called the ArcticMesh. This technology relies on an impressively large vapour chamber of 5,000 mm squared.
One of the key features of the Edge 70 Max is the huge 7,100 mAh silicon-carbon battery. Thanks to the dense design of batteries, Motorola was able to fit such a powerful battery into such a convenient smartphone.
In case the battery needs charging, there is an option for 90W wired TurboPower quick charging. In addition, there is a unique feature called a 25W magnetic wireless charging that is a first in its class. Using the integrated magnets at the back, the smartphone easily fits on Qi2 magnetic charging accessories.
When it comes to photography, the back panel comes with a square camera unit that consists of the main 50MP camera (Sony LYTIA 710 sensor) with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) technology, along with the ultrawide secondary camera lens. The frontal part of the device has the 32MP camera that is responsible for taking good-quality selfies and conducting video calls.
Though the exact breakdown of variants is still under process post the launch event, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is set to make its mark in the "flagship killer" category. The minimum price range at which the phone may be available is from ₹54,999 depending on the variant. The handset would be made available only through online portals such as Flipkart and the Motorola India website.
